ABOUT OUR TEACHERS

NIKKI GARCIA

Nikki Garcia is a graduate of Florida A&M University with a degree in Computer Information Systems and has over 12 years of experience as a developer. She spent 9 years at Keiser University, where she specialized in lead generation and webmaster tasks, and later worked as a webmaster for Safari Ltd., alongside numerous freelance projects. Nikki is the founder and owner of Shine Global, LLC, and balances her career as a dedicated work-from-home mom with a deep passion for inspiring youth to explore technology. Her commitment to education includes teaching computer skills to the elderly through the City of Miami’s Miami Elevate program, an initiative for which she was recognized in the Miami Herald. She has also served as a success coach for the Billy Thompson Foundation, where she and her husband co-led the Technology Academy, teaching youth about programming, robotics, and building computers.

She is the wife of Alex Garcia and the mother of four beautiful children, Jeremiah, Angelica, Sara, and Zoa.

ALEX GARCIA

Alexis Garcia, an IT professional with over 18 years of experience. Starting in the field as a laptop technician and working into more complex and experienced roles over the years. Currently, positioned as a database administrator, at Keiser University, where he has been employed for over 12 years. He also, returned his knowledge and experience to others, as an instructor at ITT Techincal Institute for 2 years, teaching IT technologies and programming. Alexis, also volunteered, for the Billy Thompson Foundation, teaching middle and high schoolers about computers, programming, and robotics. He is also the Manager Shine Global LLC and plays a role in the development of the company.
