Camp STEM Kids 5-Day Intensive (Summer and Spring Camps Available)
This camp is for ages 7-13

Camp STEM KIDS Curriculum Overview
DAY 1
Morning Dance and Affirmations
Morning Module 1: Coding and Gaming
Lesson 1: Minecraft
- Learning the fundamentals of Java
- Create your first gaming program
LUNCH
Module 2: Professional Development
Entrepreneur speaker from the technology realm
Module 3: Big Project
Program Robotic Arm
Teaching how to program circuitry
DAY 2
Morning Dance and Affirmations
Morning Module 1: Coding and Mobile
Lesson 1: Create app for student to take home
Utilize android student to create beginner/basic “About Me” app for
students
(1) Students will learn about wireframes and create them
(2) Students will learn how to invoke another activity through buttons and image button
(3) Student will learn about fragments

Module 2: Professional Development
Tour of Facilities
Module 3: Big Project
Program Robotic Arm
Continue learning how to program circuitry
DAY 3
Morning Dance and Affirmations
Morning Module 1: Coding and Web
Lesson 1: WordPress
Create Basic wordpress site utilizing mysql database
Learn how to install themes and plugins
Introduce CSS and learn how to alter theme with CSS
LUNCH
Module 2: Professional Development

Program Robotic Arm
Continue teaching java and begin building robotic arm
DAY 4
Morning Dance and Affirmations
Morning Module 1: Coding and Writing
Lesson 1: Create a Programming Book
Students will utilize pictures from pixabay.com to create a programming book that will show someone how to do something they learn in class.

Module 2: Professional Development

Program Robotic Arm
Finish building Robotic arm and start programming it
DAY 5
Morning Dance and Affirmations
Morning Module 1: Coding Competition
Student will be given various scenarios that will need to code and whoever codes it the quickest wins a trophy
LUNCH
Module 3: Big Project
Finish programming robotic arm.
